VCE-100 Information
The VCE-100 is designed for dairy applications as an interface between the vacuum pump and the variable frequency drive (VFD). It acts as a proportional-integral (PI) controller to provide a steady vacuum source by modulating the VFD drive level based upon the measured vacuum. The VCE-100 supports two separate vacuum level settings for Run (Milk) and Wash modes as well as a temporary vacuum setting designed to be used for Dairy Herd Improvement Association (DHIA) testing. All vacuum settings can be set independently to either PI mode, or a fixed speed. Actual vacuum is displayed on the screen for verification.
The VCE-100 can work with a variety of VFDs and itself is not dependent on the vacuum pump horsepower since its purpose is simply to provide feedback to the VFD for the specific amount of power needed. The VCE-100 interfaces with the vacuum pump through a 0.19” vacuum port and with the VFD using a 0-10V analog signal. The VCE-100 is designed as a replacement for the PumpMaster II by Etron.
